The Broadview Heights Historical Society building is located on the Broadview Heights City Campus, 9543 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights, Ohio. The historic red brick building is the last remaining building from the Broadview Heights Veterans Hospital which was built in 1940. The building housed attendants who worked at the VA Hospital. We have transformed the main floor which was the living room, kitchen and dining area for the attendants in to a beautiful museum to display our artifacts.
Please stop in and see our display of Broadview Heights history including the early farming families who worked so hard to form this great city. PLUS, a portion of the building will be a Salute to the Military and veterans. Here are the dates we will be open:
Vintage Valentines Day
Sat., February 8 - 2-5 pm
Sun., February 9 - 2-5 pm
Celebrating St. Patrick's Day
Sat., March 14 - 2-5 pm
Sun., March 15 - 2-5 pm
We will be updating the dates monthly. If you have a group that would like to tour the building, please contact us and we would be happy to try and accommodate another date/time.
Our meetings are quarterly - January, March, June, September, December (Christmas party)
We meet at 4:30 pm (subject to change)
Our meeting place – Historical Society Building – 9543 Broadview Road (on BVH City campus near the Police Station).

Help Preserve Broadview Heights’s Heritage for Future Generations
Support the Broadview Heights Historical Society as we continue to raise funds to renovate our forever home.
In our new home, the Broadview Heights Historical Society looks forward to:
- Preservation of and public access to various historical community artifacts
- Preservation of and public access to many historical community documents
- Sharing and adding to the story of Broadview Heights with all visitors
- Hosting educational community events
- Offering a library full of community research documents
- Serving as a resource for valuable historical community information
- Hosting community discussions
With this new building our community will have a venue space to convene in a dialogue about the heritage of our history, as well as explore the history of the area.
Through the wonderful generosity of the City of Broadview Heights, our donors and grant awards we have already raised enough money to renovate the property and house our collections. However, we still need an additional $100,000.00 for non-essential repairs.
There are three ways you can contribute:
- By mail, gifts can be directed to “Broadview Heights Historical Society ATTN: Candy Korn, 8477 Broadview Road, Broadview Hts., OH 44147
- Online, make a secure donation via PayPal
- Purchase a brick paver, which will be laid in front of our forever home in conjunction with the renovation of the property
Your contribution toward the preservation of Broadview Heights historical artifacts and documents will be greatly appreciated by future generations. Thank you for your support!
